What: The evening will feature local celebrities dancing with dance specialists from the Peoria area.

Local celebrity judges will rate the dancers and include audience vote participation. The event offers a dance competition, food and music. You won’t want to miss it!

Why: Proceeds support the specially trained CASA volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in Peoria County. There are over 900 pending cases in Peoria County and each of those children needs a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

Teri CookTeri Cook is the Owner of Cook Travel which recently celebrated its 25th year in business. Over the past 25 years, Teri has tried to make a difference in the community. She has been a member of the Rotary Club of East Peoria since 1992 holding the position of president in 2000 during which time she received a Presidential Citation and Paul Harris Fellow recognition from Rotary International. Teri was a recipient of 40 Leaders Under 40 in 2000. In 2001, she was recognized by Illinois Jaycees as one of the top 10 Outstanding Young persons in the state of Illinois. Teri’s biggest passion is working with children in Central Illinois. She served on the Children’s Hospital of Illinois Community Relations Committee and was a VIP for Children’s Miracle Network. Teri served on the Peoria Ballet Board from 2008-2015 and held the position of President from 2010-2013. She is a member of CASA of Peoria County’s Board of Directors and has chaired their annual fundraiser CASAblanca Dancing with the Stars for the past four years. She was the 2013 Dancing with the Stars winner. Teri enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband Dick and their daughter Ellen.

Karoline Seitz-GoddardKaroline Seitz-Goddard is Vice President, Treasury Management Officer at Central Illinois Bank. Her position allows her the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her clients, and she enjoys participating in her client’s success. Children are our future and Karoline sees great joy in volunteering with organizations that assist in our children’s development. Since 1993 Karoline has had the pleasure of working with students ranging from second grade through eighth grade, through Junior Achievement, introducing them to economic concepts to guarantee their success. Karoline is also a member of the advisory board of Illinois CancerCare Foundation, an organization committed to funding research, education and awareness in the fight against cancer. Skiing, cars, and running are some of Karoline’s favorite pastimes. Since 1998 Karoline and her husband have worked with the Building Steam program of the Steamboat Classic Race in various rolls assisting new runners in reaching their goals. CASA has been a very special organization to Karoline for a number of years and she is honored to be able to co-chair this year’s CASABlanca!
